Cooper was lucky enough to get picked for free tickets to the State Fair! We left Carson with grandma and grandpa and ventured out on a wet and chilly day. But it worked out GREAT--the crowd was light, and the kids didn't mind one bit that we were skipping rides.
Plus, there was not one speck of whining about being hot!!!!!
We climbed the fire tower, and the kids loved how much they could see!

Of course, I bought a coupon book, and it made much more sense to buy this giant smoothie with a coupon than three little ones without :)
The big pig. Eww.
This was around 1:30. On a Saturday. And we could walk without running into people. It was the lightest crowd we'd every experienced!
I loved that they humored me and stuck their heads into multiple photo-opp holes!
YUM!! But why oh why are we eating pizza at the State Fair?!? We can eat pizza any time.
It was a losing battle. So they got pizza :)
We did say no rides, but we did decide the Sky Ride was different :) The kids said it was their highlight, so I'm glad we did it!
It was a fun, fun big kid day!! They saw all the animals, walked a bunch, got to explore in the DNR building, the Education building, the Eco Experience building, see the butter heads, be little 'farm hands', eat some new food (Cooper does like fried pickles!!), and hang out with mom and dad all day! They put on a lot of miles!!
