Fall went by in the blink of an eye!
The Jordan Car Cruise was the only one we did with the kids this year, but it didn't disappoint! They had a great time with their McDonald's in the trunk, and they loved riding in the backseat and waving to all the onlookers.
We attended the Emma's Hope benefit, and although we spent way too much money on auction and raffle items, we did get a lot of great items and supported a wonderful cause. Cooper got to see his Kindergarten teacher, Ms. Laurent, for the first time since 1st grade started. She took a new position in a different district, so he hadn't seen her yet. He was THRILLED!
Sept. was nice and warm, so we took all the chances to splash around in the back yard that we could! The kids really get along so well, most of the time. They're three little peas in a pod :)
Sever's Corn Maze was not in the budget this fall, but Grandma Lori just couldn't resist. Jeremy was busy with something else that day, so he missed out on a TON of fun!! It was HOT but it was really fun (and totally worth the price of admission... for future reference!!).
Hands down, their favorite part was the corn pit. It was surprisingly cool for such a hot day!
Izzy and Cooper each had a turn being COMPLETELY buried. We were picking corn out of their shorts all afternoon!
Grandma's Magical Pumpkin patch didn't really need any 'magic' this year, because the pumpkins they planted were enormous!! All three kids got to pick out a huge pumpkin to take home and carve.
It was quite the feat to get them to the car to go home!!
And Izzy had been begging to practice riding her bike without training wheels. She was extremely determined to learn, but it was tricky to find the time to focus one on one this fall with Jeremy's busy coaching schedule. We finally found a day, and she caught on SO quickly!! I cannot believe at the age of 4 1/2, she not only begged to ride without training wheels, but she never really fell (she mastered the 'bail' when the bike was tipping), and she never gave up. Not one tear was shed in the quest to ride! By the second day of practice, she totally had it (well, minus the stopping!!). I think she secretly can't stand when her big brother can do things she cannot. There is no stopping this girl!! Two riders down now, with one to go!!
