WHAT?!?! I am so angry and frustrated with myself for not keeping the blog updated! This blog started with a goal of posting once a week... then life hit a little harder, and my goal changed to a few times per month. Well, I have completely and utterly failed in what is one of my most stressful years of teaching in my 13-year career. But I really realize how much I miss looking back on pictures and stories, and I realize how many details ALREADY start going fuzzy after just taking a few months away from the blog. I also realize that work should not keep me from doing this one little thing that I really do love!! So... in an effort that I hope one day we all truly appreciate, I'm recommitting myself to keeping track of our busy, crazy, fun, active, and wonderful lives.
So, here's the major 5-month rewind!
Check out my handsome little 1st grader!!! He was beyond excited to start school. His toothless little grin just makes me chuckle. He has Ms. Volek this year.

This was BOTH of our first days of school. Year 13 for me...
Over the summer, Cooper finished his summer speech homework calendar. The ENTIRE thing! We are proud of his progress on his sh, ch, s, and z sounds. We hope for more great progress this year with another new Speech Pathologist at Chatfield.
'Twas the night before preschool... and Izzy decided she should color her face like a CLOWN! I had to take a pic of the proud little face, but she started tearing up when I told her there was a chance it wouldn't come off before her first day of Pre-K. But not to worry, Crayola washable is truly washable :)
Izzy only had to wait a few extra days for her first day of Preschool! She has been waiting her whole life for school to start :) We were surprised that she was a little nervous, and after many heart-to-heart conversations, her biggest worry is, "But what if I don't make any friends?" So sweet. Something just tells me this girl won't have a problem making connections... we kept telling her just to be kind and be herself, and she'll make tons of friends. Cooper was so cute about it, too... "Izzy the great thing about preschool is that everyone in your whole class is your friend. You're going to have, like, 16 friends by the end of the first day!"
She looks way older than 4 to me. And I can hardly stand it!!!
Bring on another school year! We're ready!!
And not to be forgotten, here is our little 2 1/2 year old. He is so not a baby anymore!!
Check out this 'cool' trick he learned from watching Little Rascals. Daddy keeps encouraging this, and I'm not so sure I like it. But it's pretty darn funny :)
