Cooper FINALLY did it!
I'm not quite sure what exactly it was that tempted him to get his little butt in gear, but I think it had something to do with a certain little sister asking to get her training wheels taken off. Cooper rarely backs down from a competition, and this was NOT one he was about to lose ;)
He was so darn proud when he finally got it! It took plenty of practice, but he did it. He reminded me that he used his 'can do attitude' that Miss Laurent taught him.

Over the next few days, he mastered stopping, starting, and keeping it steady on the SIDE of the road. Now he's working hard to be good enough that we'll let him bike down the block to his friend Colton's house. He also is excited (and clearly ready) for a bigger bike. He outgrew this one last summer, but we were not about to buy him a new one before he learned how to ride with no training wheels.
Great job, Cooper!!
